After reading some reviews I was scared before we arrived that I made a mistake in booking this hotel. HOWEVER ... I WAS pleasantly surprised at the staff being super ,and our room was nice n cool upon arrival. Also our room both smelled clean and was clean. Only giving 4 star because grounds could use a Lil tlc. Awesome stay.....no homeless or loud.

Great location across from beach & walkable to restaurants and ice cream. Clean, but could use a deep cleaning in nooks & crannies. Our bathroom needed a new toilet seat and we had to hold the handle down for a minute to get it to flush. The pool area is beautiful with palm trees surrounding it.

My family has been using this hotel for years and loved it, however we were there June 15-18 and it was not a good experience. There was a misunderstanding at check-in and the host was completely unprofessional. My parents got into their room and had to ask more than once to get their shower suplies filled. It did not get filled until the 2nd day. Every time we tried to use our microwave it caused a breaker to flip. They offered for us to move rooms,but as we were on vacation it was late and we wanted to go to bed. We booked 2 rooms through Expedia that were supposed to cost $86 a night each. The morning of checkon they took out $202 for pre authorization, then when we got there we were made to pay another $608. When we questioned it they said the $202 was just a pre authorization and shouldnt have actually came out of the bank,but it did. They eventually put it back after arguing about it. Then at check out we had to pry the attendant from her phone to get that process dealt with. The good things were that the rooms were clean,the breakfast was good, and the house keeping staff was polite

Not sure why the negative reviews because this hotel was awesome. The rooms were comfy and super clean. We had a nice partial view of the ocean from our front window. No private balcony but that’s ok. This was very affordable and a well maintained property. Ample parking in back of hotel. 1 block to the light to cross the Seawall roadway and down the ramp to the beach and the ocean. Free breakfast offering biscuits, fried eggs, HB eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, juice, coffee, muffins and cereal. Highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in Galveston.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel and would not stay here again. First, the rooms are very old and outdated. The bathroom exhaust fan never turns off, so there is a constant loud noise. I had to keep the bathroom door closed just to make it bearable. On the second day of my stay, my room key stopped working. I reported the issue around 9:30 a.m., and they told me the battery in the door lock needed to be replaced. I left for the day and came back around 5:00 p.m., expecting it to be fixed, but nothing had been done. I had to report the problem again, and after a total of three reports, someone finally came about an hour later to replace the battery so I could get into my room. The swimming pool was also extremely dirty. There was so much dirt and debris in the water that it wasn’t even comfortable to swim. It clearly was not being maintained properly. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend this hotel. Air conditioning not working well also

Honestly more like a motel, but no complaints, met expectations, and good time overall for this adult male solo vacation traveler. 🕶️🧔♂️ Excellent location. Easy check-in and check-out. Room was clean enough and maintained enough. Hot breakfast. Whole place itself seemed kind of old, but also felt safe enough and really good budget overall. Would stay again. 👍🏻🙂

A great hotel for the price! Breakfast buffet is fantastic, beds are super comfortable, parking is ample, and you are walking distance to the beach, nearby restaurants, and Kroger. A few small imperfections during our stay, but they really just made it memorable. Our sink clogged (maintenance responded quickly), the elevator is small and stifling, and there was a problem with the lobby coffee the first day of our visit. If you aren't too precious and want to visit the beach on a budget, this is the place for you! I will definitely be back here! Staff is friendly and professional.

First night half of the room lost power, TV, microwave and some of the lamps didn't work! We had to relocate to another Room! Microwave, refrigerator are in need of being updated, they are rusted! Great breakfast! After our second night we asked the front to have maid service replace our towels, but it was not done! Had to track down someone to get fresh towels! Was informed by the front desk personnel they had a shortage of towels! Rooms are in need of some upkeep! One elevator was out of service, which made it very difficult to get down to the other floors! Toilet paper dispenser was broken. Checked early! Their EXCUSE for all the issues, was they are under NEW MANAGEMENT!
